400 Trees and Counting: How AROMASE Gives Back to the Planet

This Earth Day, we want to talk about trees🌳

400 of them, to be exact. Planted alongside local farming communities as part of AROMASE’s commitment to giving back more than we take from this planet.

It might sound small. But we believe meaningful change is built from deliberate, accountable actions, repeated consistently over time. And these trees are part of something much bigger.

 

🌱 Why We Plant Trees

At AROMASE, we see scalp health and planetary health as the same conversation. After all, both are about balance. They each require careful attention to what you put in and what you get back.

Through our partnership with Treedom, AROMASE helped plant 400 trees across communities in Asia, the Americas, and Africa. Each tree is tracked, geolocated, and linked to a local farmer who tends it, benefits from it, and grows alongside it.

In other words, these aren’t trees planted and forgotten. They’re living ecosystems and living livelihoods.

 

👩‍🌾 The Farmers Behind the Trees

The most important part of this initiative? Who plants them.

When a tree is planted through Treedom, each farmer receives income from caring for the tree. Fruit trees provide food, while nitrogen-fixing trees improve soil. Meanwhile, shade trees protect crops. As a result, the environmental and human benefits are inseparable, exactly the kind of impact we want to be part of.

Tree planting is one piece of a much larger picture. In fact, our sustainability commitments run through the full lifecycle of our products:

• Formulation — free from SLS/SLES, parabens, and artificial colorants
• Energy — 70% of our HQ electricity comes from renewable sources
• Packaging — 80+ products in 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) bottles, reducing carbon footprint by 70%. Cradle to Cradle Bronze + Silver certified, with circular box shipping since 2021.
• Carbon — Taiwan’s first haircare brand to achieve PAS 2060 carbon neutrality.
• Accountability — certified B Corp, with every claim independently verified

Ultimately, every product you choose is part of this chain, not because we say so, but because every link has been certified.

For us, Earth Day is a reminder to keep going, not just look back. The beauty industry still has a long way to go when it comes to real environmental accountability, and we know we’re not done either.
